
The Northern Points Exchange (NPE) Program
- Offers sterile equipment and other services to reduce the spread of blood-borne infections among people who inject drugs, including steroids.
- Protects the public by reducing the number of used needles discarded in public places.
- Follows a “Harm Reduction” model.
Intravenous drug use is one of the critical risk factors in the transmission of HIV, Hepatitis and other blood borne infections. Needle exchange services have been proven to reduce the spread of infection without increasing intravenous drug use.
NPE Services
All of the services are Free and Confidential.
We provide:
- Clean needles and other harm reduction items.
- Needle disposal.
- Condoms.
- Health information.
- Referrals.
