NORTH BAY PARRY SOUND DISTRICT HEALTH UNIT The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (NBPSDHU) provides services to over 120,000 residents within an area consisting of most of Nipissing District and all of Parry Sound District. Our catchment area includes 31 municipalities, 4 unorganized areas, and 9 First Nation Reserves. The City of North Bay anchors the northern part of the district and is home to the Health Unit’s main office. North Bay is known as the Gateway to the North and is located about 4 hours north of Toronto and Ottawa. With two lakes located in city limits and year-round recreational opportunities, North Bay offers a high quality of living with affordable housing, post-secondary facilities, and a vibrant arts and culture community.
